Is it just me or it feels like the year is almost over? So much to do and not enough time! Or maybe I’m just as slow as a snail. But anyway, a new month is here and I’m ready to set my July goals. Since I started to do that in May, I get more excited about the upcoming months. I feel like I’m working on getting better. Especially after using the habit tracker (and I made another one this month too. You can download it at the end of this post)
I’m proud to say that I achieved 4 of my 6 June goals. I totally failed on trying to work out more (I lasted like one week). And I didn’t really focus on my intellectual confidence. But the total success was for: wake up earlier, read 7 books, learn more about Pinterest strategies, and schedule my day. At the end, I’m happy I completed more than half of them!
1. Eat fewer sweets
Since it’s winter here, I’m craving sweets all the time. For real. All the time. It can’t be celery or carrots. It has to be cookies or pastries. Is getting out of control. And I love desserts, so this one will be really hard to achieve. But I need to stop. Let’s try 4 days a week without any sugary snack.
Can’t wait to track this July goal on the habit tracker! I’m really motivated to make it work.
2. Read 5 books
Two less than last month, because I stressed a little trying to achieve this goal. And time has no being on my side, so I will need to be more realistic about this July goal.
3. Reach 700 followers on Instagram
This one is going to be hard. I currently have 536 followers. But who really knows. Probably at the end of the day, it will be less. *Sigh*. I haven’t spent so much time on Instagram lately. So I’m getting ready to engage a lot more and find more amazing accounts to follow.
What I already know, is that I refuse to lose sleep over this. I know I will get frustrated, and probably upset. But it doesn’t worth it. And anyway, Who doesn’t feel like that after the follow/unfollow game?. If you are a person who does that. Please, just follow the accounts you really like! Because even if they don’t follow back, at least you will be happy with what you see on your Instagram.
4. Get another post to be popular on Pinterest
I mentioned in my last post, how my blog post about 11 Benefits Of Long-Distance Relationships was the main source of traffic for my blog. So for this month, I’ll work on getting another pin to be as popular as this one.
Not sure how I0m going to make this happen, but hopefully I will find a way.
5. Write blog posts with time.
I don’t know if I’m too slow or what. But sometimes I take forever to write a simple post. Also, I’m really good and procrastinating. So the two together aren’t a good combination to get things done.
Somehow I’ll try on one day (or two, I have to be realistic too) to write the posts for a week. So I will have more time to do other things.
6. Go to sleep earlier
July goals number 5 and 6 go together. These last few weeks I’ve been going to sleep really late trying to finish my posts (or doing another thing). When I should be sleeping instead of writing. Since waking up early is more a habit now. I need my 8 hours of sleep. No one wants cranky Melissa around. And I don’t want tired Melissa either. I need to be productive during the day!
So here they are! Two sheets to plan better this month and succeed with our goals. These printables include:
– A July planner. With a calendar, space to write important dates, notes, and your July goals.
– Habits or goals tracker. With space for 8 habits/goals, plus the days of the month to keep track of your progress.
Any exciting plans for this month? What are some of your July goals? Let me know in the comments!
