Must-Download Apps For Long Distance Relationships

1. Kast

Available for Android and iOS

Are you looking for more options to do something different with your long-distance boyfriend or girlfriend? Then Kast is going to help you with that.

This app will take your video chat dates to the next level!

The other day I was trying to watch a movie with my boyfriend at the same time, then we realized how hard it is to sync the movie.

With Kast, you don’t have to go back and forth between Skype and Netflix (or whichever websites you use.

This app lets you watch whatever you want with your significant other online: movies, TV shows, you name it. No matter where your significant other is.

You just need to share your screen and camera or launch content directly from Kast TV in your watch parties.

This app helps you to have the perfect date night for long distance couples.

2. Between

Available for Android & iOS

Between is an app that allows for completely private communication between you and your love.

No need to worry about friends reading your personal messages, everything is encrypted and password protected.

You can use the chat feature to send messages you don’t want to save on your phone. You can also build a secret photo album of your relationship.

Even though the free version give you access to most of the features, this app also offers Between Plus.

If you upgrade, you and your partner can get access to colorful themes, love letters, longer videos/voice messages, and an ad-free experience.

3. Love Nudge

Available for Android and iOS

Love Nudge is the official app of the 5 Love Languages, and it’s a playful, engaging tool that helps couples experience love more deeply. Which I feel it’s very important in long distance relationships.

We know how important is to connect in a deeper level when physical contact is not possible all the time.

This app is very simple and complete. After taking the quiz, it tells you what your love language is. It also helps you to set goals for your relationship.

4. iPassion

Available for Android & iOS

iPassion is an entertaining game with dirty and intimate questions.

This questions (which are multiple choice), include sexual preferences, likes and dislikes, turn-ons, and more. This is great as foreplay for a sexy video chat date.

Like I have mention many times, being in a long distance relationship means that you have to get creative to be intimate.

While that can’t be physical most of the time, it’s important you develop communication and intimacy in other ways.

It’s also available in multiple languages!

5. coBlossom

Available for Android & iOS

coBlossom is an app for couples that empowers couples to build their connections through fun minigames designed for relationships.

The point of this app is to strengthen your relationship with minigames that fit into any schedule. Which I think is super fun, especially for those long distance couples that go through some time difference.

In this app you can also share videos, images, and comments from your favorite moments with your partner as you complete games.

Sounds super fun!

6. The Love Bank

Available for Android & iOS

The Love Bank is a fun app that lets you try out a new way to become closer to each other.

The point of this “game: is to create love transactions in chosen currency. By the default, you have two currencies (for example: kisses and hugs). You can later check your debts to absolve them in real life.

I feel this app is great for long distance couples while waiting for the next visit. Accumulate your debt and then pay in whatever currency you choose, when you see each other again. How cute is this idea?

7. Rave

Available for Android &  iOS

Rave is similar to Kast. It lets you binge Netflix, watch videos on YouTube, listen to music; enjoy Vimeo, Viki, Reddit, and more while you send messages back and forth in real time with your significant other.

You can also upload your videos to Dropbox and Google Drive for movie nights and create your own mashups by mixing music with RaveDJ. That sounds so cool! This means that you can create a special song for your boyfriend or girlfriend.

It’s a very complete app in terms of sharing things to do with your partner.

Also available on Windows and Mac.

8. MyLove

Available for Android & iOS

This is a very simple and fun app that lets you know how long you and your significant other have been in a relationship.

It counts in seconds, minutes, days, weeks, and months, offering a unique perspective.

When the distance seems tough, it’s nice to be able to open up an app and remind yourself that you’ve already conquered 150 days of distance.

My Love can be customized with a picture of you and your partner, and you can also enable push notifications so you won’t miss out on special dates.

Another option, is the Been Together app. They just have different aesthetic, in case that’s something you care about. Also available on iOS and Android.

9. Gyft

Available for Android & iOS

A text message or a Skype date never gets old, but sometimes it’s nice to find different ways to show your significant other you’re thinking of them.

Gyft makes it easy for you to give the perfect gift card and conveniently manage them from any device.

They have a wide variety of options (over 200 retailers), so I’m sure you will find what you are looking.

Is your boyfriend having a tough day? Send him a $10 Chipotle gift card so he can enjoy his favorite burrito bowl. The app is super easy to use, and it’s a great way to show you care!

10. Tinkovu

Available for Android & iOS

Tinkovu is an app for all those who can’t always be together.

When you download Tinkovu, share your code to paired with your significant other. Once that step is done, you can start sending Tinks.

A Tink is a notification that will be sent to your partner when you think of them. To do this, you just have to press the central button of the application. The Tink will be sent within a minute.

There are also different ways you can send a Think. It can be an audio, a personalized message, a message that can be open on a certain day (like a scheduled birthday text!), a drawing, and a photo.

11. Lovewick

Available for Android & iOS

Lovewick is a free relationship app that curates the best couples questions, unique date ideas, and research-based romantic advice.

In summery, this app acts as a question game, date planner, relationship tracker, mini couples journal, relationship counter, and couples’ calendar all in one. It’s very complete and worth to try it.

The best part is that you can also pair it with other app for couples. That way you can sync your couples questions, memories, date ideas, and the couple calendar across devices.

Definitely a great app to have for long distance relationships.

What I like about these apps is that even though they are great for long distance relationships, they can be used in any relationship.

Which one is your favorite? Have you used any of these apps before? Let me know in the comments!

Sincerely,
